Quiet Time |

The kids are all grown and moved away, And I get up to start my day. The coffee’s brewed, the kitty’s been fed, Now here she comes to make my lap her bed.
She jumps up and snuggles in For me to scratch her ears and chin, She kisses my hand to let me know Just how much she loves me so.
Now through my window the sun is gleaming, I should be up, busy cleaning But as I stroke her silky fur, I think I purr as loud as her.
So, I'll just sit here for a while And feel on my face a little smile, For it's in quiet moments like these, We build for ourselves, sweet memories. By Lora Cox © 1983 Please sign my guest book
